It's more 4.5* but I rounded up as there were improvements since my last visit. Some of the things that missed the mark was that they took away the black fungus from the condiments bar (hopefully it's a wkday thing & isn't permanent). The prawn crackers and other fried snacks were a bit stale. Service with Crystal was great. She's attentive and friendly. Claiming the NFT benefits here used to be much more of a hassle but it seems to be more streamlined with the new Chubby app! We also enjoyed talking to Bryan at the end of the meal! Overall, I enjoyed the meal and appreciate the consistency in the quality of the food.

Came here for my 26th birthday. Our server Kelley was really attentive, provided amazing service, and took care of us. This was my second time visiting this branch and it's as good as I remember. We got the tomato broth and tom yum. The Tomato blew me away. The environment is great and food is even better. As everyone knows, the restaurant is on the pricier side, but you pay for what you get! Thanks again to Kelley for being A1.

Visited at 6:30pm for dinner (party of 2). We were seated within 30 minutes! Ambiance is lovely. The lanterns are beautiful and colorful. The wooden seats & marble tables really make me feel royal. Food is amazing. Would highly recommend ordering the short rib meat. You should definitely try one of the wagyu cuts as well. Our server was Tim - he did an awesome job explaining the menu to us. Making sure we ordered correctly & explaining the soup bases to us! Thank you for making us feel welcome. Don't forget to grab sauce while you're waiting for your orders to arrive. There's peppercorn oil if you want a bit of numbness to your lips

Another modern hot pot with self service sauce and snack stations. All you can grab salted fried peanuts, cilantro, scallion.. to all the familiarial Asian sauces, silver ear fungi soup.. one can definitely have a customized mouth experience. We got a combo meat with additional veggies-- their beef are expertly sliced, arranged and presented. Fresh and tender waygu bites almost outshining their crispy house pork. It's better than your average popcorn chicken but in crunchier bite size caterpillar shapes. The meatballs were adorable and juicy. But their sheep was very.. disappointing. Falling short of its beefy brethren. It's too gamey and not enough flavor. But the service was more leisurely than our hungry stomachs were anticipating. Beware of the private room seating, there is a minimum spending limit of $800. I almost blindly fell into the trap when offered advanced seating. A pot of hot jasmine tea was $8-10 but it is loose yea leaves. But still crazy for a pot of hot water and fried leaves at a place that heats up broth for a business motto. It's not cheap but business has also died down since their grand opening.

Had a great experience at Wagyu House for our first time visit! Visiting from the Bay and had to make a stop here as we have heard rave reviews about this place! Drinks are uniquely themed and quite tasty; we were lucky enough to get our round of drinks for free! We opted for the half tomato half spicy broth which was a fabulous combination. It was so satisfying to watch the spice bear melt into the broth. Meats and veggies were fresh - definitely recommend upgrading to the A5 Wagyu platter as the meat quality was top tier. The Wagyu fried rice was dreamy, oh so buttery. Joyce was our server and she was absolutely fantastic! Super attentive and always checking in on our table. In regard to the overall hot pot experience, Haidilao probably has the edge, but the meat quality here is probably better!

Came on a Friday reservation at 6:30. We were quickly seated and the service from start to finish was well done. Our server patiently walked us through the menu and gave some recommendations. We did individual pot for broth which is nice when you want to try more different ones between 3 people. We got the tomato wagyu, the wagyu clear and the chicken pepper. All was solid and had its own unique flavor profile. At the end of the meal tomato wagyu was my favorite since it was a flavor profile I could keep eating. For hot pot items, I liked the spinach noodles, house special fishballs and of course you can't deny the meats. My one regret was the large veggie platter. When you order the platter they really give you a lot of veggies but the Napa was waaay too big for our small pot and it would've been nice to have smaller bite size veggie pieces. I recommend just ordering individual veggies you like. Sauce bar was nice and clean. They had some light snacks and fruits. It is an extra auto charge of about ~$3 per person. Drinks- I don't recommend the alcoholic latte. It was way too strong in taste and wasn't well balanced. The sunrise drink on the other hand was great and honestly the mojito was standard. All in all, service, atmosphere and quality was good. Obviously the main con would be pricing. Single broths were about $13 each + sauce bar $3. That's already $16 without any ingredients. It may be more worth it for a large group with a shared pot. I would come back just for special occasions vs everyday dining.

Was dreading the almost 1hour drive from Long Beach. Glad I soldiered through. Impressed with how much they spent on interior design and making a strip mall space feel elevated and lux. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Had some good conversations about the chef and heat level of the stock. It's on the pricier side. But the meat and stock are delicious and so are the dumplings. I tend to judge how much I like a place based on if I'd return for one specific item. The dumplings are it. So yes. I'd come back. And I would recommend it.

Came here a few times before but decided to go a bit more extra with the ordering for a friend's birthday! ((: We were helped out by Wilson and Vickie and they were absolutely amazing. They were attentive, professional, quick, and gave fantastic recommendations. They made this a delightful experience for sure! I forgot exactly what I ordered but here are some items pictured - about half of these we were trying for the first time and didn't disappoint, though the numbing beef tongue wasn't my cup of tea. The golden chicken and spicy are our go-to soup bases, but we always need to take out a block of the oil/spices each. Also, apparently they don't serve the sweet rice cakes anymore so we got the fried bread instead (we didn't see in the menu though, you might have to ask? :0 ). Overall this is one of my family's favorite places to eat, though we're mostly here for special occasions heh
